Sitting Bull (who socked it to them at the Little Big Horn) Tommy Sands (who should never have married into the Sinatra family) Marilyn Monroe (who had big boobs and a brain) The Teenage Werewolf The Jolly Green Giant & Urban Spacemen Everywhere/5(6).

A great little trio session from Keith Jarrett – still in the mode of some of his other ECM work, but almost a bit more back to basics as well! The group here features Gary Peacock on bass and Jack DeJohnette on drums – both working beautifully with Keith in a flurry of colors, tones, and pulsating rhythms – the latter of which really drive along the two-part composition "Flying", which.

One of the best records we've heard by the Art Ensemble of Chicago in years – and a wonderful tribute to departed bandmate Lester Bowie! The work is performed by the trio of Roscoe Mitchell, Malachi Favors, and Don Moye – and the music is much more in the spirit of some of their classic recordings from 20/ 25 years back – performed with a real sense of space, sound, and shared interplay.

N.S.U. - Turn On, Or Turn Me Down LP. An air of mystery surrounds this album, and indeed, even the label on which it was originally released. DJ and percussionist Count Simon de la Bedoyere (aka Simon Stable) set up the Stable label in , only to fold it a year later, but during that brief spell it released a handful of great albums.

A complete run of music from the Revillos – a group who only gave the world two full studio albums in their initial run, then recorded live albums later in the 90s – all of which are here, along with a whole host of bonus material too! The Revillos always had a bit of a retro look to them – and although they grew up in the post-punk years of the UK, their style is a mad mash-up of new.

A nicely varied live set from this trio of key ECM players of the 80s – captured here with the same sense of sound as some of their studio recordings – which must have been something amazing to hear in person! Abercrombie's still very chromatic at this point in his career – playing fluid, colorful lines on guitar – but also using occasional guitar synthesizer passages too – more.
  9. Tujin says:
The complete recordings of The Petards – a legendary Germ an group who are maybe best-known for a few freewheeling albums on Liberty at the end of the 60s and start of the 70s – but who also have a not more music here to offer! The set begins before most of the work we've ever heard from the group – and clearly shows a strong influence from UK beat groups at the start, from their English.
